Helium Weather balloon launched on March 3rd, 7:00am. As part of Mindkraft2k16 in Karunya University, Coimbatore This project is one of the fourth successfully launched and tracked Helium weather balloon in Tamil nadu and first in Coimbatore region. It is one of the cheapest too, costing almost Rs18,000 for only making and testing, and made totally in-house. And the specialty is we had predicted the crashing site, one week prior to launch, which is one of kind in India, and recorded metrological data and had reached a height of 33km(120,000 feet) and had traveled approximately 65km. Therefore, we have designed a radiosonde module with negligible risk of failure and cost effectiveness. We also use this module to measure and log the metrological data like the pressure, temperature, humidity, altitude and capture a picture of a particular locality.
